It came out of Wake Town (Wake-cho), Okayama, Japan — the gold lettering on the doors is the original Wake Town Fire Corps, 8th Division, 1st Unit markings. The yellow rooftop ID light still says Shiota.

Light bar, siren, two-way radio, and the yellow ID light all work. Cabin is shockingly clean for a working truck: about 12,400 km (7,700 miles) and almost no wear on the wheel, pedals, or seats.

Bigger than a kei truck. 1.8-liter gas engine, 5-speed column shift, part-time 4WD, right-hand drive. Rear crew bench with lap belts, ladder / equipment rack, and diamond-plate steps are still on it.
